Welcome to the WAR Website |
The Western Allied Robotics website is designed to provide all the information needed enjoy the sport of combat robotics in the Pacific Northwest. While you'll certainly be able to find everything with just a little bit of poking around, this page is designed to help explain the site's main sections. |
||
Main - The main page contains updates on the
most current WAR events and news. You'll also find links to our sponsors and the
Delphi Forum where all WAR business is discussed.
|
||
| Calendar- The Western Allied Robotics Calendar of Events. The Calendar is both a record of past events and of course the list of what's to come. We normally have the entire year's events scheduled in advance, and this is where the details will always be available. | ||
| WARBots - The Machines of Western Allied Robotics. Images and short descriptions of most of the combat robots that have participated in WAR events over the years. | ||

Rules - The Rules of Western Allied Robotics. WAR uses the Robot Fighting League's (RFL) rules-set, the standard for the sport. All builders should take the time to read the latest version of the rules. It's no fun to show up at an event and not be able to compete because of a rules conflict.

Links - A wealth of robotic combat information. One of the best parts of the site for
a new builder. Links to online parts sellers, how-to
tutorials, and even WAR member sites (in case you want to get to
know us better.) |

Archive - The History of the Western Allied Robotics Website. Everything that was once posted on the Home Page eventually ends up in the Archive. It's a good record of everything that we've done over the years.
| WAR Info - About Western Allied Robotics. A brief history of our club, what we do, and what you can do to be a part of it. | ||

More you should know: Registration for WAR events as well as events all over the country can be viewed at buildersdb.com This site is a great resource for builders, fans, and event organizers alike. At the bottom of the Main page you'll find a link to the WAR Delphi Forum. This is THE PLACE online to communicate with other robot builders, including WAR members as well as robot builders world-wide. In addition to the WAR forum there is also the antweight forum and the Robot Fighting League forum. You don't even need to apply for Delphi's free membership to access them. I've been a member for years and I highly recommend it. WAR Forum - All Northwest Builders and Northwest events. Robot Fighting League Forum - The Robot Fighting League is the organization for combat robots of all weight classes. If you are interested in larger robots 60+lbs, this is the forum for you, though combat robots and events of all weight classes are discussed in this forum. Click the RFL icon on our Home Page to check out their website. |
