Mark Joerger's Antbotica
Robothon 2004
Sponsored by
These photos are some of the highlights of the Antbotica tournament held at Robothon on September 26th, 2004. There are actually a few additional events that I don't have photos for. For complete rules and information, click on the Antbotica link above.
Qualifying Round

The object is to knock down the blocks as quickly as possible.
Scramble

=
In the Scramble, two robots compete head to head. Each obstacle is worth points. Two of the competitors managed to get all six obstacles in the 3 minutes allotted. This is unbelievably fun to do (and just as hard as it looks!)
Pushover

Each robot must push all the items off the table, then push the large (and heavy!) can out of the gray central square. Robots may be placed back on the table if they go off, but with a points penalty.
Showdown

Three bots enter, one bot DOESN'T leave! Rob Purdy, Dylan Feral-McWhirter, and Rob Farrow faced off in the final. Rob Farrow's Manic Marmoset was the last bot standing!
Congratulations Rob!
